Thank you again, HVA and pdw!
Yes, it was a magnificent match...Karjakin should be very proud of his performance. Even though a birth time has not yet surfaced for him, it is easy to see that he has some very strong placements.
Thank you pdw, for commenting upon Carlsen's Western solar return chart. Three days ago I noticed that his Jyotisha solar return chart for 2016-2017, which went into effect just hours before the final games began yesterday, was much stronger than his solar return chart for 2015-2016. Sort of makes me wonder whether Carlsen has an astrologer or two on his team.
There have been other closely contested matches for the World Championship throughout history, but none recently. It seems as though Carlsen's strategy was that he knew he would not lose more than one game, so he played it safe throughout, knowing that he had a distinct advantage on the final day. And it took Karjakin nearly 3 1/2 hours yesterday to finally crack, but crack he did, as he kept finding himself in significant time trouble. I'm sure he'll work on this in preparation for the next World Championship match.
One other thing I noticed astrologically going into yesterday, was that Carlsen's experience of the malefic planet transits were in separation to his natal planets, while Karjakin's malefic planet transits were applying to his natal planets. This was also huge, in addition to Carlsen's more fortunate 2016-2017 solar return charts.
Here's a link to a nice summary of the match...
