What can we expect from this new transit of Scorpio by Jupiter? The last time was from the end of 2005 to the end of 2006. What I remember about that time was that jobs had been leaving the US since the turn of the Millennium and it accelerated during 2006. A year later, virtually all the jobs in technology had been exported overseas. I was still working, but had little hope of maintaining my job. It seems like the financial markets would be affected. Could there be another round of inflation? Or will these "cryptocurrencies" suddenly become dominant? The financial markets are booming. Can that continue?

Hi Crabman, Jupiter(horses)....Scorpio, 8th,(other people's money)....winning big at the races?
Looking back on previous Jupiters in Scorpio, every 12 years, the one surprising common factor appears to be women coming to the fore.
1958 – first Afro-American woman hired as a flight attendant. Women sit in the UK House of Lords for the first time.
1970 – Women’s Strike for Equality celebrating the 50th Anniversary of US right to vote. Women’s lib disrupt Miss World. First women’s only tennis tournament. The Pope deems two historic saints, St Teresa of Avila and St Catherine of Siena, as Doctors of the Church (=v. imptnt saints).
1981 – Women admitted to holy order for the first time in Church of England.
1993 – Whoopee Goldberg hosts Oscars. First hearing-impaired woman becomes Miss America.
2005 – Angela Merkel becomes Germany’s first female Chancellor. Also there is the first democratically elected female head of the state in Africa.
2017 -Jupiter, many, Scorpio, sex abuse/rape stories eg Weinstein, Cosby....Again a women theme.
NAFTA being renegotiated may mean more jobs, better paying jobs for Americans.
The EEC also came into being on the 1958 Jupiter in Scorpio; with the Maastricht Treaty establishing the EU in 1993. NAFTA was also agreed in 1993 which makes more sense of Scorpio’s interest in joint finances.

Merriman suggests a top at the Uranus-Jupiter opposition with a pretty high reliability but he's been cautious about calling for the end of the world since the GFC bounced so defiantly, walking back an all out collapse to the point of now seeing a new Renaissance ahead. After a correction of course but predicting amplitude is tricky. TA suggests something mild and shallow by historical standards. Could there be another round of inflation? Already here, but this will not be our parents inflation. Egos will inflate easier than prices and have... Or will these "cryptocurrencies" suddenly become dominant? I like this one CM... People ought to be very careful here. It's the wild west AND now the heavy weights promise to come in and take over the field... IBM's blockchain technology is already huge and the Central Banks are creating their own. I don't see how crypto replaces sovereign money but hey... you never know... The financial markets are booming. Can that continue? Yes, the most hated bull market in history is not anywhere near the dreaded euphoria which precedes a collapse. I suppose a collapse is imminent but your question was can this continue. The answer is yes it can.

Wait, what? Have you been to Silicon Valley or Pittsburgh lately?? I can't imagine what you mean by "virtually all jobs in tech had been exported." That's just not true.

If you have a job and need one, I think you can keep working, but I do think that the move into Scorpio will be about inflation, too much spending (which we are witnessing now), etc., but it might be a good thing to spend while we can. Already transiting Uranus has hit Pluto twice, which is in the 2nd house in the Sibley chart (and I think in the 8th of the a.m. chart, the chart I don't normally use). In the Sibley chart, the lunar nodal axis at 7Leo-Aquarius resides in the money houses as well, which says a lot about the importance of money in America and the idea of freedom which supports it. In mid November Jupiter will be at 7 Scorpio and square that nodal axis, and the economic climate in the US will probably rear its not so pretty head, but I think we will bully our way through it (since we have a bully president). Tr Uranus hits Pluto by square for the last time in May of next year. I'm sure there are bigger pictures which include solar arcs, etc., but I have not done the work. Just saying that there is a lot going on which should affect everyone's finances, but high tech jobs are not what are going to disappear. Those are the jobs we can count on staying and increasing, even if by some chance we go to war, God forbid. It will be a high tech war.

As I recall 2006 the markets were booming along and a good time was had by all (Sorry if it was different for you, Crabman.) Bubbles were growing and there were voices shouting in the wilderness, but we were assured that it was all different this time. The Masters of the Universe had it all figured out and this was the new normal (to anticipate a phrase that would become popular later.)
But bubbles always burst and the old wisdom earned from years of real world experience held true. By the following year we did reap the whirlwind. Jupiter left Scorpio for it's home in Sagittarius in September 2007 and the Great Recession unfolded just as was forecast. By an interesting coincidence (don't you love that word?), Jupiter moved from another Fixed Sign (Taurus) into a Mutable (Gemini) in June 1929, just before the Great Depression started.
There are voices in the wilderness today warning of bubbles in the markets. The prices we see are the result of the Fed's programs referred to as Quantitative Easing. The money they lent was just entries in an Outlook spreadsheet. There was, and is, no real wealth being created. But I figure we have about another year, until Jupiter again moves out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius, before the next crash.

Well a Jupiter return is a whole different ballgame, and a good thing!
Yes, tr Jup cj our Neptunes should be good for photography :).
And psychic phenomena. I have been visiting a pet grief website/chat group hosted by a famous animal medium. Most of the posters have been receiving "signs" from their deceased pets, which I can't wait for!!

My N Moon is 22:59. 22 happens to be one of my favorite numbers, numerologically. Don't worry about a number that may apply to other matters!
And, I am also approaching my 2nd Saturn return. When that happens it will trigger N Mars-Saturn, of course. Given my progressive health problems, that could be the time I transition. In my case--I hope so. Not suicidal; just realistic. And ready. And, per your request, my N Neptune is in the 12th cj ASC.
