Help Wanted With Julian Calendar Example
« on: July 29, 2020, 08:20:52 AM »
Here's the data, Jesus, born December 25, at midnite, Julian Year 45, Bethlehem, Jerusalem.    I am having trouble in producing the same
planets locations as the author got.    Please, help me reproduce author's data using Solar Fire.
          Author got the following: Ascendant 1Li26, Sun1Cap59, Merc 2Cap59, Moon 28Aries01, Venus 17Aq28, Mars 6Ar56, Jupiter 8Li16, Saturn 12Gem01,
N.Node 6Sc59.
Sun and Merc are in 4th House, Jupiter is conj Asc, Mars conj 7th cusp, Venus in 5th and Saturn in 9th, Moon in 8th, Node in 2nd.  Help appreciated.

Halina,

Maybe the author's data is incorrect.

If you check out https://www.astro.com/swisseph/ae50/ae__50_m0000.pdf and view data for year 45, you get this...

Moon 8Sag54, Mercury 19Sag31, Venus 18Cap14, Mars 11Pis56, Jupiter 24Can1, Saturn 20Sag45

BUT - What your author has done is to use the year 0 and not 45.

If you enter year 0 in your Solar Fire with the same date, i.e. 25/12/0000, I think you will get his results or thereabouts...

Thanx Maz, much appreciated.     Would you mind doing a couple more charts.
Chart 2:  Apprehension of Jesus....his apprehension by Judas and company, at 12 o'clock at night, on the
evening preceeding Friday, the 3rd of April, in the year of Christ 33 current.   See chart by author.

Chart 3:   At the coming of darkness at 0 hours, on Venus approx 3, in the year of Christ 33 current.
Moon from trine Saturn to opposition Sun.    See chart by author.

Hi Maz, would you mind figuring out how he got charts 2 and 3.    See above post for detail and diagrams.

Halina,

I definitely wouldn't consider the year of 0 to be accurate nor even the day of 25th December.

There are many sources that suggest different dates. For example...

Hi Maz,  yes I have all those other charts......just wondering how he gets these 2 charts in Solar Fire.    I've tried putting JC after the dates.....even BC.....but can't seem to reproduce them.     His analysis of the charts however is deadly accurate, that's why I am interested in them.

Halina,

I'm pretty certain that there is an error with the author's data...

According to the the Swiss ephemeris I'm looking at (one of the most accurate), this is the scenario...

For year 33AD, Mars and Jupiter 'compute ok'... with

Jupiter in Gemini from Jun 32AD - Jun 33AD AND Mars in Gemini May 29AD - June 29AD, Apr 31AD - June 31AD, Mar 33AD - May33AD

If it was these 2 planets, then a date of 33AD would fit in to your work, however, there is Saturn to consider...

In your data/charts, you have Saturn in Taurus. However, Saturn was in Taurus from April 27AD - May 29AD, not 33AD.

If you want to accept that Jupiter and Mars in the first part of this post are correct, i.e. year 33AD, then the author’s calculation for Saturn is incorrect because Saturn was in Cancer from Jul31AD - Aug33AD and had already exited Taurus a couple of years before.

If you want to use the years 27 - 29AD, then Jupiter was around Capricorn I think.

So, I’m pretty certain that the data needs to be checked again.

Thanx for your time on this Maz.....yes, I'm getting some errors by the author.....otherwise the charts I reproduced with your help look good.
Scroll right and 3rd chart will appear.    Author's Jesus charts were written in 1668 when no computers....all calculations were by Hand....using Chronological Tables by Reverend John Butler..      The Jesus charts were edited by Sepharial in 1890.   Yes, I see some errors also when I calculated them.
     Fead this link.....https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/people-cultures-in-the-bible/jesus-historical-jesus/when-was-jesus-born-bc-or-ad/
.......especially where hs says...."If Jesus was born in 1 A.D., these designations, AD/BC would be completely accurate."

Aha....

I was going to ask you to email the author! So, that would be difficult...  :)

4BC, yes I've seen this a lot. But only with detailed research can the exact date be confirmed astrologically because there are many, many dates given, but 4BC is probably the one I'd go with, no idea about month.
