Venezuela is in a political crisis. Social institutions are in melt down.  The Socialists, currently led by Pres. Meduro, lost the recent elections after almost two decades in power. They are due to leave office on January 4, 2016, and are executing a scorched earth policy while they still can.

Is anyone following the astrology of Venezuela? What chart for the nation?

Hi Lopaka,

I was interested in this story about Venezuela, so thank you for your post. Not long ago I read Pablo Bachelet's book on Gustavo Cisneros. Fascinating read if you care...

The chart taken off Astro Data and using the notes that suggest Starkman rectified the time to 8:18 is most interesting when we see that the Sun and Neptune in the natal chart is currently being hit by the tail end of the Uranus-Pluto square and the current Saturn-Neptune square respectively. Probably most significant is the Sun in this chart, ruler of the 7th AND head of state. The old regime spawned un Chavez is done if appears....

Looks like the country will be in transition for a bit of time until the Sun arcs to the Ascendant perhaps? 5+ years... 2021 or there abouts.... and Venus arced to the natal Moon just about a year ago... perhaps the beginning of the movement to ouster the PSUV. Looks like the PSUV is no longer "driving the bus" (sorry couldn't resist) and democracy gets a second chance...

This, including the changes in Argentina, is part of the a rising call for freedom and democracy sweeping across South America... These changes look extremely positive to me... although admittedly there may be much work to do mopping up after the melt down...

Best,

HVA

Lopaka,

I think the Venezuelan people are extraordinarily brave. There is a nice write up on Forbes (where I snagged this pic from) that discusses the support of "Padrino," 'the Godfather'. He is the current defense minister...

All the best,

Here's a link to the chart at astrodatabank

http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?wgid=wgeJxtjjEPgjAUhH-N25n0Aa2G5k3GmDgw4vyUBoi0Gigh-OstcXW5S74bvlv6Z8-ZbT0L2dBwJbF_hXKXqdoF95ndIICDxgF0JALpUil4YxZt0MoAhZOM8pAJ9bnCj5MKucKMrMgpRWGgrDT3IN79E2xbI9GxTvQ6D2uqTWbvcX2ncz52LHGx3bTynuw4Md0uXw7PN_Y

Heavily aspected Pluto (ruler of chart) in 4th house. Rug gets pulled out from under.

Here's chart with transits/progressions. Having Nodal Return right now with Jupiter, I think in H10 ( government). Moving into Saturn Return in H1. Saturn in big t-square opposing Jupiter squaring Pluto. I remember that Jupiter and Saturn conjunctions have 20 year cycle. Do the oppositions have 20 year cycles as well?
