email notifications no longer being sent

I just discovered that I had been sent a PM by a forum member back in August; I had no idea, because I never received an email notification of that fact.  I always used to; has there been a change with regard to how or when these are sent?  I would still like to receive the email notifications.  I had a look at my settings, but I'm not sure if I will be receiving notifications or not.  Could you please change the settings, if necessary, so I can receive them?  Thank you very much for your help.

Yes something changed back in February. I am reposting the message I sent out then. Everyone should pay attention to this to be sure they are receiving any messages.

Just to let you know ... if you go into your profile page and go to the personal messaging section you can choose to be notified when you receive a personal message. Everyone should do this to make sure they are not missing out on any communications.
