However, with Donald Trump’s Mars (r. 9)-ASC being solar eclipsed this month, it’ll be interesting to see if North Korea’s bluff will be called.

You can say that again.

I use the 'Morning Star King' chart for Kim Jong Un, i.e., January 8, 1984, Pyongyang, at about 7:15 a.m.  This puts his Mars bang on his MC, where it is currently being opposed by transiting Uranus, exactly conjunct his IC.  Seems to describe the situation, all right.

As Mars is the planet of both the athlete and the warrior, it's perhaps too bad Kim isn't taller; if he had been, maybe he would have had a shot at playing basketball professionally, as he would have liked.  Instead, all that Martial energy of his is being directed into military endeavours.  It doesn't look good for world safety.

P.S. - I've tried several times, several different ways, to post the Astrodienst chart, but it just will not post for no apparent reason.  Par for the course.  Sorry about that.

Greetings, all - it just occurred to me that, with all the recent talk of Trump/Korea/nuclear events...

a long time ago, Noel mentioned a different timeframe for this kind of activity in the U.S. chart.

If I remember correctly, his measurement centered on the orbit of Uranus in contact with the U.S. Ascendant!

Following that logic, I believe his timeline went something like this: check events in the U.S. for:
1776
1860
1943

and you get the drift... (!)

That being the case, 2027 would seem to be a more critical concern...

Just wanted to mention that, in the face of this current wave of Trump-itis dominating the headlines.

Namaste,

Robere

Well, I hope you're right, Robere.

Trump’s bombastic Mars in Leo just moved up to Defcon1, as expected astrologically given the impending collision with the Leo Solar Eclipse in less than two weeks’ time. His threat to North Korea that it would see “fire and fury like the world has never seen” if it continued with provocations, has unfortunate parallels with President Harry S. Truman’s 1945 post-Hiroshima warning to Japan if they didn’t surrender. “They may expect a rain of ruin from the air, the like of which has never been seen on this earth.” Not only are the words similar but the upcoming (Great American) Solar Eclipse on the 21st is in the same Saros Series as the one which occurred a month before the first and only nuclear bombs ever dropped, by the USA on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945.

There’s no inevitability of the same outcome since this eclipse series repeats every 18 years or so. But it is ratcheting up the tension.

The relationship chart between the USA and North Korea is being buffeted by this month’s eclipses – the composite Sun almost exactly on this week’s Lunar eclipse and the composite Mars conjunct the Solar Eclipse. With emotions running very high through September/October with tr Pluto opposition the composite Venus.
Below is the USA/NKorea composite chart with current transits, eclipses and nuclear asteroids.

In Dean's Ingress chart we see   Virgo is in the 12th . Mercury rules Virgo.
Mercury will hit Still RX  on August 12th at  11-38 Virgo making 60 degree aspect to Mars con MC in Cancer in  that chart.
Mercury  RX in the eclipse sandwich can be very treacherous especially at the still point.
Mercury is a big player in the game.
On September 3rd  Mars will conjunct Mercury RX  at the eclipse point 29 Leo.

Thanks Amy but I got  that from Ronald Berger, he scoped that date out. I put his video in the great American  eclipse thread. So Ron was the first kid on the block to bring that up.
Ya what's next ?  looks like bad stuff. Korea  may get the hurtin end of  the stick.
Kim has Mars con Pluto so maybe some kind soul will poison the bastard like he did to his older brother, karmic justice.
Lots of Lunations are bouncing off his stars this year in tight  relationship.

Very nice work Dean...

What I find interesting is that the September 8 1945 chart, which we can use as it established the 38th parallel, has a number of arcs approaching exact on September 11th, 2017. Further, the history of the divided Korea's is interesting since the Soviet Union allied itself with the North and the U.S allied itself with the South.

Aspect                  Angle        Orb

MNN  SQR  Nep        89° 47'      0° 13'

Sat  CJN  Jup             0° 21'      0° 21'

Ven  SQR  Sat         89° 05'      0° 55'

Sun  SQR  Mer        89° 16'      0° 44'

Jup  SQR  Sun      89° 28'     0° 32'
Jup  QDC  Mar     164° 13'    0° 47'

Kim is compelled to act defiant and "in control" so that he doesn't appear weak. North Korea is an economic basket case and Kim makes a great display of fighting windmills so that the entire country feels dependent on his leadership. As soon as he cracks in the slightest or loses his resolve I think he also loses his grip. As you mention there is pressure from the "open enemy" but there is also ongoing discussion with would be authorities at home; Saturn opposes Sun-Mercury conjunction, seconds away from Cancer. Pluto-Jupiter contacts can be classic bankruptcy measures. All this show of force is an act of desperation to retain power. But the pressure is on on the home front as much or perhaps more than with "open enemies."

I sure hope an assassination attempt is successful, and then perhaps we can negotiate with the new regime.

"When will the lesson be learned! You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth!" Winston Churchill

While no one country has its head in the tiger's mouth, a first strike by North Korea on South Korea or Japan is indefensible. We could only retaliate. The defense weapons necessary to shoot down missiles are not yet in place. This has Japan uneasy to say the least. 72 years after Hiroshima, August 6, 1945, Japan is once again facing an existential nuclear threat.

The 38th Parallel chart looks tense BUT there also appears to be room to negotiate. Kim is no tiger, but he seems crazy enough to be taken seriously and with millions of lives hanging in the balance. Maybe he is offed and we talk with his replacements.

Hi Halina... that is crazy... only saw your post after I posted... but yes I think '45 is the year based on cycles that brings us back 72 years. We might argue that the pay load from Enola Gay ended WWII and the mad carnage of that worldwide war. Still, its hard to imagine the level of insanity required to fire off a nuke in this day and age. And equally hard to understand how a few haven't already been fired off... Is it "reasonable" then to strike first?

Hi Steven 7,   Kim Jong Un, Jan 8, 1984, Pyong-Yang, 7am, Asc 1 Cp 42.   On Sept 28, trans Pluto Rx direct exactly on UN's natal Sun.    Also on Sept 28, trans Jupiter opp trans Uranus, exactly on and opp Jong-Un's natal Mars. His progressed Mars is now conj natal Saturn. The current Mars/Saturn square aligns with the U.S. Mars.   Fire works???

Unglued is the man to watch, Yes Pluto went  direct and is heading for his Sun  .
October 24th Pluto strikes his Sun
http://planetwatcher.com/#1508860800

Mercury Retrograde  in August was still at 11-38  Virgo , this was squared his Uranus
Trans Neptune is opposing that Merc RX point and squaring Uranus
Trans Mars and Sun are aspecting his natal Mercury.
Trans Moon con natal Mercury on October 24th.
Trans Sun  conjunct his natal Pluto  with 30 ds aspect from trans Mars
  Fireworks could happen.
An English psychic  said he'll be gone in 2018.

Trans Mercury is aspecting USA  Ascendant 12+ Sag 30 ds aspect.

Natal Pluto and Saturn took strong hits from the August eclipses.
Trans Sun and Jupiter will be crossing NK's natal Mars.

Interesting stuff Dean

Halina thanks again for charts

Ingress Pluto is on Kim's Sun
Ingress Neptune squared USA Sibley Ascendant
Ingress Jupiter 26 -15 Libra
This is sextile Trumps Mars 26 Leo
On October 19th New Moon is at  26-35 Libra aspected by Uranus 26+ Aries Trine to Donald's Mars as the New Moon is sextile to Donald's Mars
New Moon is squared Trump's Venus
Trans Pluto is coming into conjunction with Kim's Sun
Trans Pluto is coming into square with  Trump's Jupiter and aspect of 150 ds to his Uranus.

We can only hope that Dean is right.  To me it looks as serious as a heart attack .
This looks super dangerous and volatile.
USA had 4 naval ship accidents in 2017, I saw one video that said these were not accidents but  that  two of the ships had their guidance systems hacked by North Korea  and caused the deadly crashes into US ships. Is that true ?  or just barking dogs of war ? False Flags?  Real Flag events ?
19th through 24th of October look especially dangerous.

The Sibly chart is interesting if you pull up the transits for October 16, 1962 and overlay a third wheel for today.

The "last thing" I notice is that Neptune is eerily trine the Sun in both cases. Back then Kennedy did the unconventional thing and showed patience much to the dismay of his hawkish generals. His intuition served him well during the Cuban Missile Crisis. It's a fascinating story about a rogue and unstable leader, Castro, appealing to Khrushchev to attack the U.S. preemptively. Fortunately, for the world, at least two of the actors then were of sane mind and chose to err on the side of caution. Even in the midst of panic when a radar technician accidentally put a training tape into the radar warning system and all hell broke loose, temporarily, heads remained rational and collected if not calm. But U.S. intelligence was behind the curve. We didn't think nuclear warheads were in place yet when considering our own "preemptive" retaliatory strike. We were wrong. They were already there and at least one was ready for launch.

Today Neptune once again is trine the nation's Sun. But instead of one unstable, erratic and unpredictable leader we have two. And perhaps not insignificantly Neptune is also square the Ascendant. In '62 we were operating on wrong information that was much more dangerous than it first appeared, but the President's intuition and patience probably saved countless lives. Today, just like during the missile crisis, I think there is misinformation as well in that North Korea is further ahead on the curve in their capabilities than currently assumed and reported. Unlike then, we hope that cooler heads prevail from the measured and well informed minds of the U.S. generals. Roles have flipped in some respect between the U.S. Presidency and military leadership.

Back then Pluto was transiting square to the Sibly Uranus-Ascendant opposition and quindecile the Moon; today Pluto is opposed the Sibly Sun and square the Sibly Saturn.

Then transiting Uranus was supporting the Sibly Venus and Mars by Sextile and Quintile respectively; now Uranus is square the Sibly Pluto-Mercury opposition, although it also sextile the Sibly Moon.

Saturn doesn't return to 5' Aquarius until February 2021.

Another dichotomy today is that all of the outer planets are transiting the Sibly's Northern Hemisphere while 55 years ago those same outer planets were traversing the Southern Hemisphere...

"This time is different" no doubt. And no doubt given enough time North Korea will fall under its own weight, as did the Russian complex despite Putin's attempt to resurrect its former glory years and power. BUT is there time?
