Missing Link
« on: August 17, 2017, 02:53:17 AM »
I want to report a missing link from Tyl's recommended links!
http://www.noeltyl.com/links.html

Since one of the web links was retired from its home adress in 2007, no one at the forum administration felt the need to fill the gap and repost the original number of useful links! Right now would be a good time to restore the balance, with Mercury at Master's Number 11!  :D

Since my suggested link adresses very frequent and pertinent questions* (and prevents lots of frustration), i was advised by the traffic safety administration to post it here, in this quiet back road, where it can be revisited any time:

https://www.learnastrologyfree.com/index.html

* like:

"Please help me find an astrology program that can accurately predict upcoming events in the World" or "What program can tell me the best times to invest?"
https://www.soulhealing.com/softstarweblog.htm#071217

0r "whether 'mix and match isn't possible' between Western and Vedic."

Thank you, James!

Back in 95, i had the chance to read Hank Friedman's software reviews in American Astrology magazine. Back then, he covered the release of Win*Star 1.0: "To get good performance using Win*Star, you'll need at least a 486 processor, 8 megabytes of memory, about 25 megabytes of free hard disk space."

About 22 years later, computer requirements/experience are much more demanding... Still, nothing compares to the needed requirements to get a good Jyotish performance! Even if i had a faster processor and lots of free memory available, where on google earth am i supposed to find "the superlative teachings and presence of a Jyotish Guru*"?!  ???

 For that alone, i felt absolved for not even trying to grasp more than a few basic concepts.  ;D

* I know there's a fine one in Ohio... but he lives 3812.23 miles (air distance) from my place!!! Others may want to check their distance from the real thing: ;)

LOL, thank you Antonio!

Back in 1995 I had a faster processor and much more free memory available than I do now!   ;D

But I'm still working on keeping up with my younger brother(s)!
