"Historically, HTTPS connections were primarily used for payment transactions on the World Wide Web, e-mail and for sensitive transactions in corporate information systems. Since 2018, HTTPS is used more often on websites than the original non-secure HTTP, primarily to protect page authenticity on all types of websites; secure accounts; and keep user communications, identity, and web browsing private." Wikipedia
This Website & Forum were created long before the https implementation became widely used. Still, there's no payment transactions here... not even annoying pop-up ads to worry about. Even without encryption, Tyl's Forum and website are 99,9%* more secure than the oh so popular social media (aka Fakezuck, YouTroll, etc

Solution for web visitorsInstall the HTTPS Everywhere browser extension:
Link for Chrome browsers:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/https-everywhere/gcbommkclmclpchllfjekcdonpmejbdpFirefox:https://addons.mozilla.org/pt-PT/firefox/addon/https-everywhere/The extension/addon is available for some other browsers, but my example/image is for Chrome.
Once installed, close the browser and then reopen it. You'll see a new icon (white S over a blue square) top right in the adress bar. Click it and check the two boxes, as in my picture (the blue square turns red). If you now see a green "lock" icon before the domain adress, it is secure.
Please note that some websites may not open when you use this addon... but you may click the S icon to uncheck the box "Block all unencrypted requests" or just disable the extension temporarily (if you trust that particular website).
