Jan 5th  Solar eclipse, 15+ Capricorn opposed the Damascus natal Moon con Ascendant.
There was a terror attack there the other day

The January 20th  Lunar Eclipse will aspect Natal Uranus at Zero Gemini , It will also square natal Venus at zero Scorpio. The eclipse will also make quindecile aspects to other planets in this chart.  Looks like more danger soon.

Around the end of 2020 the transiting planets look dangerous and severe for Israel and Syria.

It might be a prelude to Isaiah's prophetic message from 2500 years ago.

Israel carried out a series of airstrikes early Monday against Iranian targets in Syria, the Israeli military said, in response to an Iranian missile fired at the Golan Heights, capping off a volatile 24 hours between the two regional enemies with the possibility of more fighting ahead.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck Iranian targets in and around Damascus, including the city's international airport, IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said. The overnight strikes targeted munitions depots, intelligence sites, a training camp and more, Conricus said.
The IDF also struck Iranian warehouses at the Damascus International Airport, Conricus said, noting that Israel observed secondary explosions, indicating that weapons had been hit.    more at link

Hi Steven 7,     Bashar Assad, despite the heavyweight protection propping him up at the moment, looks almost less secure ahead than before. His Presidency chart, 17 July 2000, has a frustrating, trapped tr Pluto opposition Mars through 2018/2019 and then much the same from tr Pluto opposition Sun/Mars in 2019/2020 and then Sun – right through till late 2021 – which is a poleaxing set of pressures. With what could be a total collapse in 2021/22 with Solar Arc Uranus square Pluto.

His own personal chart, 11 September 1965, is drifting steadily downhill with tr Neptune conjunct Saturn now, opposition Uranus Pluto and Sun till late 2020; with a shocking collision Solar Arc Sun conjunct Mars around 2021.
