Just adding this url for anyone interested in star gazing from a Southern Hemisphere perspective.

Today is the beginning of the Maori New Year, which is based on the Lunar not Solar calendar.

Would seem appropriate as we are also currently in the early degrees of Cancer.  ;D

I realise pronouncing Maori words can be very difficult for people who are not fluent in the language or have the ear for it, so chose a site that had English translations.  ;D
