When will my husband find a job?
« on: August 19, 2019, 07:39:47 AM »
Back in 2016 I asked same question.

http://noeltyl.com/discussion/index.php?topic=7350.0

His three year contract comes to an end Oct 1st so he’s on the job hunt again. Here is the horary chart, he is ruled by the Sun in the 7th house. Career ruled by Mercury located in sixth house, 15 degrees from Sun.

His IC was just eclipsed as was my midheaven. Here is his current solar arc chart too. You can see that Saturn is conjunct his Moon, ruler of his midheaven and Mars is inconjunct his midheaven. Within the year Saturn and Pluto will square his ascendant and then oppose his midheaven.

I was fortunate enough to speak with Horary expert Lee Lehman this morning regarding a Horary question of mine. She educated me about a few things such as:

1. The horary chart is between the Querent and the interpreter. For example, my posts on this horary section are sent to no one/anyone so there was no "contract" between me and the chart reader so the chart was actually invalid---if I understood her correctly.
2. Because I asked my question in a different way and once she understood my question she created a Horary which she will then interpret,
3. i suppose the best reason for us posting a horary would be for tips from the forum on delineating it.

Thanks Stacy, that’s interesting, not sure what to make of it. Seems like a lot of hoops to jump thru to find an answer unless the person who makes the chart interprets it themselves. Maybe someone will have an idea just looking at the current Solar Arc chart.

Yes, it seems unless we can interpret our own horary chart we should apparently ask it of someone who can answer our question. The reader needs to understand the question before he/she can then cast it for interpreting. I always thought as long as we record the correct time and cast a REGIO. chart we were ok...

Your SA chart similar to me posting LRs here--not horary so we should probably post those types under the General Astrology section for delineation.

Good luck,
Stacy

Hi Francine:

The upcoming Saturn-Pluto conjunction at 23-Capricorn in early January 2020 falls very near your husband's IC.

Since Pluto rules his 2nd and Saturn the 4th it gives me a "lean times/held back" feel...stuck at home, feeling the pinch financially, and being somewhat depressed by it all.

However, Tr. Jupiter crosses his IC twice in 2020 and Saturn going over the IC is a turning point in life and career.

In late 2020-early 2021 the very important Great Conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn falls right on his Venus (r. 8) square natal Jupiter (r. 3)...better times, new purpose, financial gains.

So, possibly a choppy time in the near-term, calling on him and you to save, conserve, and economize (Saturn-Pluto) while strategically planning for new career opportunities that will pay off later.

All the best.

Regards,
Dean B.

Thank you Dean, I very much appreciate your reading. I think my horary with 15 degrees from Mercury to Sun probably means 15 months until he finds a job. Interesting because that’s how long it took last time. I’ll let you know, thank you.

Francine, out of curiosity, is your husband a large man? That is, above-average in height and/or weight.

Thanks

Not at all, he’s about 6 ft, 190 lbs.  Any reason? Perhaps Jupiter in first house?

Hi Francine, I don't know about horary but took a look at your husband's natal chart. I appreciated reviewing the(our) earlier posts. What a long, unsuccessful job-hunting period, beginning in 2015, and then things began happening in Aug.-Sept. 2016 and he started a new job Oct. 1. It’s impressive  to me how the astrology during that ‘fruitful’ period reflects a strong professional/job /10th House emphasis with contacts to your husband’s Saturn, MC, 10th ruler (Moon), and a natal 10th House planet (Uranus):

-T Uranus trine N Saturn and sextile N Moon (eclipsed)

-T Saturn-T Mars trine N Uranus

-T Jupiter-T Mercury sextile MC (Uranus)

I'd say that’s pretty good support for reward or a payoff then, especially if you’ve prepared and acted in good faith beforehand (which he obviously had ;)).

Is he already actively job-hunting or waiting until after Oct. 1? The reason I ask is there are some potentially favorable transiting Jupiter contacts coming up. Hmm, could they reflect a happy, optimistic period or a great trip or a successful job search...

Right now T Jupiter is in Sagittarius and his 2nd House which looks advantageous for energizing self-promotion and positive contacts with others (as it sextiles his natal Mercury, exact on Oct. 3).

In mid-October T Sun will conjunct his Libra ASC as T Jupiter sextiles it (a personal highlight and positive public relations).

In early November T Jupiter will conjunct his natal Saturn and sextile his natal job-related Moon (10th ruler). Seems like these contacts may or could be personally significant, reflecting some kind of success, effort rewarded, or a job offer, perhaps.

Sure hope this time around is easier and shorter than the last one. Thanks for sharing & keep us posted.

Thank you pdw, I truly appreciate you looking and commenting. Yes, he’s been actively searching since he found out at the end of June. He’s had some luck in that a new department is opening in another area where he works and the woman running it wants him to work there, promised him a job but it might be only part time at first. In the meantime she is busy trying to move here from Florida and figuring out funding.

He’s also had a few phone interviews with two more this week and an in-person interview but they went with someone else. I see around Sept 11th that Venus will conjunct his progressed midheaven and sextile his natal midheaven so maybe more news then. In December his lunar return shows  Sagittarius on his midheaven with Jupiter in the 10th. Thanks for pointing out that Jupiter will sextile  his ascendant as I hadn’t thought of that, my Sun is Libra so it will sextile that too. Then it will go on to sextile his Sun too.
Thanks so much for pointing out some positives coming up, no great trip coming up for us. We’d been gone two weeks in May as our daughter was married so with this news that will probably be it for the year. I’ll keep you updated, thanks again.

P.S last time his job ended and moon was eclipsed, his midheaven was square Saturn and his mother died Jan 2017.

Francine, let us know if any news turns up the last two weeks of September--next month...

Yes, he’s been actively searching since he found out at the end of June.

Francine, I got curious about this timing.

As Dean points out, the 2020 Pluto-Saturn pairing in ‘manifesting’ Capricorn looks forceful and formidable. Though in your husband’s case, I wonder if transiting Pluto (symbolizing a transformation point, i.e., an ending that creates a new phase) was at work, so to speak, this past June when he learned his job would end.

Some factors I noticed in late June:

-Transiting retrograde Pluto was tightly squaring his natal ASC and opposing his MC (4 degree orb),  potentially signaling major change or significant development (with Pluto in Capricorn and his 3rd House referencing the possibility of important professional news);

-Add chart tension with transiting Uranus opposing his 1st House natal Neptune-Node – suggesting unexpected, disruptive, or disappointing loss/breakdown, perhaps;

-And, for a significant trigger in the last ten days of June, check out transiting Mars and transiting Mercury opposing transiting Pluto and contacting (conjunct-square) your husband’s MC-ASC.

Not sure if this is relevant or not, but transiting Pluto was retrograde for that contact in June and will turn direct in early October. Allowing for a one degree orb, T Pluto direct will contact your husband’s ASC during early December through early February 2020, with the exact T Pluto-T Saturn conjunction squaring your husband’s ASC on January 7, 2020. Interesting to me that this timeframe will include: the January 10 eclipse (widely conjunct his MC, possibly reflecting change in professional status) and transiting Jupiter conjunct your husband’s natal Mars (potentially rewarding, and note special emphasis with SA Uranus=Mars). T Venus, conjunct his natal 10th-ruling Moon and sextile his N Saturn, looks supportive and also may be a trigger (referencing its SA Sun=Venus emphasis). So, if he doesn’t already have a job, I wonder if this astrology may reflect potential for significant opportunity or reward, such as receiving/accepting a job offer then?

As T Pluto, T Saturn, T Jupiter, T Mars more closely contact his IC and move into his 4th House, in March, could this strong focus on family, home, and domestic matters reflect a job-related move and/or selling/buying a house (Pluto at IC)? If so, sometimes that's a very busy, intense, and demanding/exhausting time, a possibility perhaps reflected by these symbols - ?

Just a few more ideas for your consideration...

Thank you pdw, I really appreciate your analysis. The same time my husband found out in June that his contract wouldn’t be renewed, we had a plumbing line break which we caught immediately because it was a weekend daytime and we were home. We were lucky it wasn’t night and weren’t asleep upstairs as happened to a friend of mine a couple years ago. She woke up to water covering up to the baseboards of her entire downstairs.

My point in saying that is Neptune was opposing my moon at the time which  is perfect timing for a house flood and we are having our entire house re-plumbed. In a few months when it is cooler we are getting a new roof.

David and I have flipped charts, Cancer is on my IC and Capricorn at 28 degrees on my midheaven. I will attach my solar arc chart for today. It might give you more info. My SA Sun also follows the same degree as his SA ascendant though his progressed ascendant lags and is currently at 9 Sag. I’ve never understood why that happens or which is the one to read.  Anyway, since our IC/Midheavens are flipped with a two degree difference, I have wondered what huge change will happen when Pluto conjuncts  my midheaven and his IC and have thought it could mean re-location which is why I asked a horary question about when we might move a few months back.

I’m going to re-read and digest your post some more.

T Neptune was at 19 Pisces and your natal Moon is at 28 Virgo, right? I guess I wouldn’t have considered that contact close enough to reflect an event but we astrologers can have different reference points. T Mars conjunct your IC, then, and squaring your natal Neptune looks potentially problematic to me, possibly reflecting a home-related breakdown or water-y issue that needs immediate fixing (Neptune in your corrective 6th House). Maybe T Pluto trine your IC-ruling natal Moon supports the best case scenario of discovering plumbing issues early.

Interesting, Francine. I hadn’t thought about a focus on home repair or improvement with the buildup of transiting planets at-in your husband’s IC-4th House (and your MC-10th House), but that sure makes sense as a possibility.
