A thank you, and a request

I almost hesitate to say this for fear of jinxing things, but the forum seems to be working perfectly now and has been for a few days.  So thank you very much to Basil, and to anyone else involved.  It's greatly appreciated.

I do have one request to make:  the last few days I have not been receiving email notifications consistently; sometimes I get them, but sometimes I don't.  Of course, it invariably seems to be the posts I'd really like to read that I don't receive notification of.  I don't know what the problem could be, but I'd appreciate it if this could be looked into, since it means that sometimes I don't reply to people I should be replying to as I don't know they've posted.

One tip, I don't receive notifications, but I go straight to view 'most recent posts'.
