      Eleanor Rosalynn Carter ( August 18, 1927 – November 19, 2023) was an American writer and activist who served as the first lady of the United States from 1977 to 1981, as the wife of President Jimmy Carter.  For the decades she was in public service, she was a leading advocate for numerous causes, including mental health.
       Her 12th house Sun Neptune in Leo gave her idealism, flair, inspiration and the ability to work tirelessly behind the scenes on mental health and other issues.

Her natal Saturn on the IC is revealing...

1) Eldest of four children and had to assume responsibility for her siblings when her father died.
2) When Jimmy Carter left the Navy to run the family peanut farm, she balked at having to return to Plains, Georgia...hated the idea of it but accepted the responsibility to her husband's family...Saturn square Neptune (r. DSC).
3) Caused quite a stir by sitting in on Cabinet meetings at the White House...even Eleanor Roosevelt didn't do that...showing an interest in executive management.
